Hesher says his first words


Shooting of Spencer Susser's first feature film Hesher begins today. Hesher is written by Spencer Susser and David Michôd and the cast includes Natalie Portman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Rainn Wilson. We can't wait to see it come to life!

Aspen ShortsFest 2009

Miracle Fish and Netherland Dwarf have both won awards at Apsen Shortsfest. Netherland Dwarf shared 'Best Drama' with Canadian short Next Floor, while Miracle Fish took out the 'Youth Jury Prize' as well as getting a 'BAFTA/Los Angeles Certificate of Excellence'. Congrats to Luke and David.

Solo on DVD


David Michôd's documentary Solo (co-directed with Jen Peedom) about Andrew McAuley's ill-fated attempt to kayak the wild and lonely Tasman Sea from Australia to New Zealand, will be released on DVD by Hopscotch on March 18. Following its recent BBC screening in the UK (as Solitary Endeavour On The Southern Ocean), it will screen on the ABC in Australia in April.

Animal Kingdom

New Website & SXSW


The official website for The Square has been updated for the Australian DVD release on 5 March. You can visit the site here.

The Square will also have it's North American premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas in March.

The Square on DVD



The Square will be released on DVD in Australia on March 5. This is the new trailer made for the DVD release. A 2 disc special edition will be available for retail with a stack of extras including - a bunch of deleted scenes, a making of, pre-vis and vfx featurettes, Nash's short film Spider, the music video for 'Sand' by Ben Lee & Jessica Chapnik plus more.
